Signup privacy
grexBot uses your email address to verify a signup, send a removal link when requested, and, after you confirm, keep you on its project and launch update list. Optional ideas, preferred build path, printer ownership and testing interest help us understand what people want to build. These answers are private.
What we keep
The signup database stores your email, optional answers, signup and confirmation times, and the version of the consent text you accepted. It stores hashed confirmation and removal tokens. A hashed email address and short-lived request counters help limit repeated requests. The signup application does not store campaign tags, referrer URLs or IP addresses in this database. Cloudflare processes IP addresses to deliver and protect the service.
Who processes it
Cloudflare hosts the website and database and delivers verification and removal emails. It processes message contents and delivery information and may retain security, delivery or suppression records under its own policies. Replies to hello@heygrexbot.com pass through Cloudflare to the project's Gmail inbox. Reply contents are separate from the signup database. No campaign email service has been activated.
How long
Unconfirmed requests expire after 24 hours and cannot then be confirmed. Scheduled cleanup removes expired requests from the active database on its next run, normally within 15 minutes. Confirmed entries remain until you remove them or the project closes. Request-throttle records expire after 24 hours. Non-identifying send-budget totals are retained to enforce the sending limit.
Removing an entry deletes its email, optional answers, action tokens and associated request counter from the active signup database. It does not erase email already delivered to your inbox, reply correspondence, provider security or suppression records, or immediately purge provider-managed backups.
Your choices
Signup is optional. Consent is unchecked by default; we do not add an active entry until you press Confirm on the verification page. Use the removal link in an email to remove your entry, or request a fresh link at signup preferences. Opening a link alone does not change your entry.
